Customized employment is a strategy that provides individuals with disabilities with the tools to gain employment, with options for employment beyond “off the shelf” jobs. This approach to employment offers individuals previously thought to be unemployable, opportunities to obtain integrated employment. This session 1) discussed the components and essential elements of customized employment and 2) addressed the critical role of vocational rehabilitation services to support both the job seeker and business.
